Father's Day Gift Ideas for the Catholic Dad

Father's Day Gift Ideas for Catholic Dad

I don’t know about you, but sometimes it’s tricky trying to shop for Father’s Day. What do you get a man who likely already has so many great things or who has a wishlist of items that you don’t feel qualified to shop for? For example any time my husband wants a new tool or a scope for his gun, I just tell him to go and treat himself because I just can’t imagine myself buying that!

One thing that I do enjoy doing for Father’s Day is gifting him with something Holy of some sort. Last year the children and I gifted him with an image of the Last Supper for our dinning room and in the past he may have been gifted with a book of some sort.

There are so many fun and inexpensive ways to remind him of his holy job as a father by gifting him with something beautiful in this collection. Whether it’s a book that can deepen his faith or his role as a father or art work of the beautiful Saint Joseph, gifting him with a holy relic or book is worth it. As we always say, it’s one thing when the mother leads her family in prayer and worship but it is taken to a greater level when the father does. Don’t ever feel bad for trying to encourage your spouse or the father of your children for trying to deepen and grow in his faith. What an earthly and heavenly reward he will have while trying to be a shepherd for his family.

How to Raise Good Catholic Children

First published fifty years ago, How to Raise Good Catholic Children is a rare treat for today's parents: a wise and readable book on child care that derives its wisdom from the Catholic home rather than from psychologists.
